Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InkLabs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

InkLabs is an AI-powered creative writing platform that helps users draft, organise, and export story content. The service is provided on a subscription basis with four tiers: Free, Starter, Pro, and Studio.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. All prices are in GBP and include applicable VAT.

Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

4. Fair Use Policy

InkLabs operates on a generation-credit model. Each plan includes a daily allowance of generation credits that resets every 24 hours.

Unlimited usage is provided within reasonable daily limits. Extreme usage may be rate-limited to ensure optimal performance for all users.

This policy exists to maintain service quality across all users. Normal usage — including active daily writing, editing, and generation — will never be affected. Rate limiting is only applied in cases of extreme or automated usage that significantly exceeds typical patterns for a given plan.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use InkLabs to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with service security features
  • Use automated tools to generate content at a scale beyond normal human use
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without written permission
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract underlying AI models or prompts

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you create using InkLabs. By using the service, you grant InkLabs a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

The InkLabs platform, branding, and underlying technology remain the intellectual property of InkLabs.

7. Privacy and Data

Your content and usage data are stored securely. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Usage metrics are collected internally to maintain service quality and prevent abuse. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

InkLabs is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and limit our liability to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
